1982-83 Cambridge Hornets championship team to be honoured this Friday!
A ceremony will take place to honour the team ahead of the Hornets game versus St. Catharines on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

The Cambridge Hornets will be celebrating its history next week.
Before the team's game against the St. Catharines Saints on Friday, Jan. 16 at Galt Arena Gardens, the organization will host a banner raising ceremony to celebrate its last Allan Cup championship season.
Following a second place finish during the 1982-83 regular season, the Hornets won series against Chatham and Petrolia to win the Ontario Senior A Hockey League.
Series victories over Thunder Bay in the Eastern Canada semi-final and Stephenville (Nfld) in the final secured a spot in the Allan Cup final.
Cambridge then swept the St. Boniface (Man.) Mohawks to win its fourth Allan Cup title.
The team was inducted into the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
This year's Hornets team owns a record of 3-12 with nine games remaining in the regular season.
The banner raising ceremony is set for 7:30 p.m.
